Pitch follows viewing distance. A rough rule for a comfortable image is: minimum viewing distance in metres ≈ pixel pitch in millimetres. So P2.5 reads well from about 2.5 m, P6 from about 6 m. Every series page on this site carries a selection table for that specific product, and if you send us the distance from the nearest viewer we will confirm the pitch.
Because two different distances are both called the viewing distance, and they are roughly three and a half times apart. The comfortable viewing distance is the rule of thumb above — pitch in millimetres ≈ distance in metres, so P4 from about 4 m. The visual acuity limit is the distance at which the eye can no longer resolve the individual pixels at all, which is pitch × 3438, so the same P4 gives about 13.8 m. Neither figure is wrong; a supplier quoting 13.8 m for P4 is using the second definition. Our recommendations always use the first, and we state both numbers wherever we quote one so you can compare like with like.
SMD mounts individual lamps on the board with exposed solder joints. COB seals the whole surface under resin. COB survives touch and can be wiped clean, gives higher contrast (around 20,000 : 1 against 4000 : 1) and a wider viewing angle, at a higher price. For a wall people can reach, COB is usually worth it; for a screen behind a barrier, SMD is the economical choice.
The first digit is dust, the second is water. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets; IP66 raises the water figure to powerful jets. Many outdoor LED displays are IP65 on the front face and IP54 at the rear, which is adequate for a screen mounted flat against a wall. Our four outdoor series — HC, HH, HS and HL — are rated IP66 on both the front and the rear, so the same cabinet also suits a free-standing or double-sided position. Always ask a supplier for the rear rating separately: a single headline figure usually refers to the front only.
Two numbers matter: peak and average. Peak is full white on every pixel and is what you size the electrical supply for. Average is what you pay for, typically 30–40% of peak on normal content. Every series page lists both in W/m²; multiply by your screen area.
Free replacement modules and parts during the period, 12-hour response, remote diagnosis, installation guidance and operator training. Freight on warranty parts and any on-site labour are quoted separately, which we state clearly up front rather than in a footnote.

Rental products ship in flight cases, fixed installations in wooden crates. Sea freight is the normal route and typically runs 25–40 days depending on destination; air freight is available for urgent or sample orders. Export documentation is prepared as standard.
Yes. Because we own the cabinet tooling, we can still match a cabinet shipped years earlier. We recommend buying a small spare stock of modules and power supplies with the original order — it is far cheaper than a one-off replacement later.
