Screens watched for a whole shift, from two to four metres, that have to still be running in five years.

A control-room wall is judged on two things: whether an operator can read it for eight hours without eye strain, and whether a failed module can be swapped without taking the wall down. Both are decided by the pitch and the service access, not by the headline brightness.

How to choose for this site

That points to fine pitch (P1.25 – P1.953 for close positions), high grayscale at low brightness, seamless cabinet splicing and front maintenance so the wall can sit flat against the structure with no rear service corridor.

We supply the redundancy that matters here: dual power, dual signal and hot-backup receiving cards, so a single failure does not black out the wall.

Operators sit 2–3 m from the wall reading dense map and table data all shift. Pitch has to resolve small type at that distance, and the wall sits flat against the structure with no rear corridor — so maintenance has to come from the front.

Runs 24 hours a day with live camera feeds. The surface gets touched during commissioning and cleaning, so a sealed COB face survives better than exposed SMD solder joints. Low-brightness greyscale matters more than peak nits.

A wide single-line diagram has to stay legible from the back of the room as well as from the console. That pushes the wall wider rather than taller, and makes cabinet-to-cabinet flatness the thing that shows if it is wrong.

Emergency command room

A smaller room where the nearest seat is barely a metre from the screen. At that distance anything coarser than P1.25 shows the lamp grid, and a 16:9 cabinet geometry avoids scaling artefacts on standard video sources.
